Funa Family Locator App Review

As a part time MTB Rider, using smartphone and apps is super important to me. Everytime I ride, I always turn on my riding apps, but today I am going to introduce to you another cool app for riders like me. It is called the Funa Family Locator. Wait, now whenever people talk about a locator app, especially men, they get really scared about using one as they don't want to be tracked by their wives! I think that is totally a wrong thinking. This app as I am going to share with you, is super useful for my safety when I am on the road because of the many special features.

Some might have known that last November, about 5 months ago I was knocked down head on by a drunk driver nearby where I live. At that time, too bad I didn't have Funa App yet, so I really depended on the help of passer by. Thankfully, at the time, there was a helpful man that came by and packed me and my broken bike into his truck and took me home or else my wife will never know where I was or what happened to me. It happened at that time, I carried two handphones and one of it fell at the road side and was stolen immediately. If I had the Funa App installed on that phone, I would have beena able to track it down immediately right? With the Funa App also, my loved ones would be able to know my location in case my accident happened in a far away place without anyone to help me at the time.

I am mostly an early morning solo rider. Most times, I cannot plan ahead which day I am going to ride and where I will ride to, it is quite spontaneous and depends on my mood and health on that day. I will make my decisions very early like 4am in the morning so it is impossible for me to wake Leona up just to let her know where I'm headed. So with Funa installed on both our phones, it is easy to her to see where I am when she turns it on. The app actually works in the background and utilises GPS / WiFi / Cellular technologies. to give the best location of the person at the moment.

FUNA family locator keeps my location known to my family so they don't have to call me to ask me where I am now etc. Imagine when I am riding on the highway, it is very hard for me to stop and answer a call, very dangerous. So now, it is so convenient, my family can just turn on and see my whereabouts. Wait, there's more to it. They can also see where I had been the whole time and see a history of the time and location easily.

There's a Location History feature to see exactly what time I was at where. Due to this, my family also can track how far from home I am and how long it will take for me to reach home so they can plan and get ready, dressed etc for going out for breakfast.

Some of the Key Features of Funa Family Locator are listed:

★ FREE – you can enjoy FULL features of Funa Family Locator for free.
★ REAL-TIME – you get to know whereabouts of your family members.
★ SECURE – your location is confidential and only visible to your family members.
★ TRACKING & HISTORY – keep track on location history (up to 7 days).
★ LOCATION ALERT – you will be notified when your family and friends arrived or left a marked location.
★ SOS – trigger SOS alert to your family members during emergency.
★ RELIABLE – provide best available location result using GPS / WiFi / Cellular technologies.
★ OPTIMIZED – optimized battery consumption.

I hope I do not have to use the SOS function anytime soon, but it's good to have it around just in case. When I press SOS, within 10 seconds an SOS message will be sent to my family members. If I had pressed wrongly I can just cancel so it won't send a false alarm.

From within the app, I can also connect to other app, like pressing call will use the phone's own call feature, or whatsapp  and more.

Another useful feature is the location alert notification. I can manually set to alert my family when I leave or arrive in a place, for example above is showing when I arrive and leave the office. Maybe this is great for bosses to track their employees too so bosses don't have to always call and ask where you are!

This Funa Family Locator app is free and downloadable for both Android and IOS phones. Get them here.

PUMA RELEASES THE IGNITE DISC SLEEVE

Herzogenaurach, Germany (16 MARCH, 2016)–Global Sports Brand PUMA drops a reimagined icon as they pair the legendary DISC System with a sleek contemporary upper and the brand’s IGNITE FOAM technology.

The PUMA DISC System was the brand’s complex and technological solution to an ancient problem- how do you keep those shoes tight without the fuss of laces? Originally launched in 1991 and named in honor of the plastic disc that featured front and square on the tongue, the system worked as the disc rotated, pulling internal wires that tightened the upper for a comfortable fit.

Adapted into PUMA’s performance footwear, from runners to court shoes the futuristic styles have since been reissued as lifestyle sneakers with the likes of DISC Blaze accruing a massive cult following. The contemporary iteration of the icon, the IGNITE DISC Sleeve, features PUMA’s celebrated energy returning IGNITE FOAM, an updated and slimmer DISC System, and a minimalist upper for a snug fit. Sport performance innovation from upper to sole, the new style with its futuristic aesthetic, is as forward thinking as it problem solving predecessor.

The PUMA IGNITE DISC Sleeve will be available at local PUMA Stores starting 1 April 2016.
